When Julie De Lorenzo was told that her cow, Queenie, was ‘doing well’, she thought her neighbour was just trying to make her feel better.
They’d been separated from one another for two months and both were in recovery. Queenie had a foot infection the vet had advised would most-likely never heal due to her age. Queenie was 19 years old. Julie had ducked away for a quick family visit, only to end up having an accident that kept her grounded until she was well enough to travel home.
Fortunately for Julie, she’d left Queenie in the care of a farmer friend, along with a brand new bucket of Rose-Hip Vital.
Before Julie had left, Queenie had been fragile. Julie had been quietly preparing herself to goodbye her companion of almost two decades. Queenie’s foot infection was impacting her mobility, she’d lost weight and she was in constant pain.
Wanting to try anything to help ease her suffering, Julie had decided to try our plant-based anti-inflammatory, even though it wasn't marketed specifically to cows.
For two months, Queenie was fed a daily dose of Rose-Hip Vital Equine.
For two months, Julie called her friend to check in on Queenie, worried and guilty she couldn’t be there herself.
“She’s doing well!”
Julie didn’t believe it. “To be honest, I thought he was just saying it to make me feel ok,” she told our team.
It wasn’t until Julie was finally able to travel home and be reunited with Queenie that she was able to see with her own eyes the transformation that two months on Rose-Hip Vital had made.
Queenie was doing well. She was doing more than well. Her mobility had greatly improved and she was able to walk about more freely. Her coat looked healthy and shiny. She’d put on weight. And most importantly, she seemed happier. Brighter.
Julie couldn’t believe it. This was a transformation she’d never expected to see. Especially since the vet had told her that Queenie would never heal from her foot trauma.
“I was sooo happy to see how much she has improved… thank you so much.”
Julie and Queenie are now happily reunited on their farm in Lillian Rock, New South Wales, where Queenie continues to improve and generally lives her best life. Julie reached out to our customer service team to tell us about the amazing transformation and to learn more about Rose-Hip Vital, the natural anti-inflammatory that had worked wonders for her Queenie.
WHAT IS ROSE-HIP VITAL?
If you’ve never heard of Rose-Hip Vital before, the quick version is that it’s a wonderfully effective, plant-based anti-inflammatory for people, dogs and horses. It has no known side-effects or contraindications, making it perfectly safe to take alongside any existing medication.
The long version is that Rose-Hip Vital contains nothing but the Rosa Canina rosehip berry, ground into a powder that can be mixed in with feed. While other rosehip products contain the same rosehip berry, Rose-Hip Vital is the only product that uses a patented extraction and manufacturing process that activates the exclusive galactolipid, GOPO®. GOPO® is what gives our rosehip products their scientifically-backed anti-inflammatory benefits.
Because Rose-Hip Vital is wholly natural and plant-based, it’s easily recognised as fuel by a horse's naturally vegetarian digestive system. Better yet, all reports indicate that horses love the taste!
It’s the proven results and plant based nature of the products that gives animal lovers the confidence to try Rose-Hip Vital on other species, like cats, monkeys - even bulls! - and not just the humans, dogs and horses that we market to.
