I absolutely love green smoothies. They are nutritious, alkalising, and help to balance the heart chakra, which is the corresponding coloured energy centre. Eating well is a physical way to give ourselves love. What I've come to realise though, is that we also need to send ourselves loving thoughts, especially if we are struggling with illness or disease. In the past I have experienced considerable arthritic pain and this often caused me to think of my body as an enemy. It always seemed to be working against me, causing me so much discomfort, that I could hardly get out of bed at times. I would think to myself Im sick of having this hip pain. What I was doing unfortunately was negatively reinforcing my condition.
What I had to learn to do, instead, was affirm my love for my body and say kinder things to myself such as I am pain free and totally in sync with life. Daily affirmations became a big part of my journey to wellness. And what I was pleased to notice was that as my positivity began to increase my pain decreased. Presently, I live a happy, active, mostly pain free life and my wish for you is that you may share the same. It is so important that you take excellent care yourself. I encourage you to eat a diet rich in high energy foods such as fresh organic fruit and vegetables, supplement with good quality vitamins, minerals, and supplements, and send love to every cell in your body. Todays smoothie recipe ticks the first two boxes but only you can tick the third. Your body is loveable.
