Are you listening to podcasts yet? Rose-Hip Vital team member, Lisa, is a fan. Read on for five favourites offered by some well known Australian wellness gurus which will inspire you on your health journey.
What is a podcast some of you may ask. Or maybe you have heard about them but not yet taken the time to download the app and subscribe to a few. Well can I suggest that maybe its time to jump on the bandwagon (so to speak) if you haven't already!
I was an early adopter, and have been listening to a few favourites for a number of years. There are so many podcasts on offer now and the options are growing weekly. Many well-known bloggers and online influencers are jumping on board and starting podcasts as a new way to share their experiences, interview people and engage current and new followers.
Its not easy to know which ones are the best, although maybe the best is not the right word because really you need to find podcasts that talk to you and what interests you is likely to change over time. I find that as I begin to be interested in a certain aspect of my life or a certain topic then I search out new podcasts related to that subject.
Now that a new year has begun and the weekly work life routine is back on track, I am listening daily on my commute to work and being inspired by some wonderful conversations, so I thought I must share with our Rose-Hip Vital community.
They will get you thinking about your health, your diet, your daily routines and changes you can make at home to improve your health and that of your family. So here they are, some inspired health podcasts I cant get enough of!
LOW TOX LIFE
Alexx Stuart is a passionate advocate of living a low tox life to improve your health. She interviews other wellness advocates and business owners who talk about nutrition, lifestyle, health and the environment. What I love about her interviews is they always offer the listener simple ways to start to make changes in your life for the better. More details HERE.
SHINY HEALTHY YOU
Jules Galloway is a naturopath whose interviews with health and wellness people make you laugh as well as seriously think about your own health. She tackles different health issues and just generally talks about staying well. More details HERE
THE REAL FOOD REEL
This is one of the first podcasts I started to listen to. Steph Lowe, known as The Natural Nutritionist, discusses current research around diet and nutrition, debunks food myths, and educates on you how to just eat real food! She is an advocate of all the new ways of eating we are hearing more and more about mainstream including eating low carb and high fat, and improving your gut health. She is also a specialist when it comes to sports nutrition and eating for performance. A must listen if you are an active person. More details HERE.
EASY GREEN
We have interviewed Adele McConnell (AKA Vegie Head) on our blog before and love her take on living a healthy life. Now she has just launched her first podcast so we can get a weekly dose on the go! She isn't interviewing people, instead offers short podcasts tackling topics relating to health, nutrition, sustainability and living a mindful life. I am loving it! Read more HERE.
THE WELLNESS COUCH
For a change, this podcast comes from three guys. These wellness experts and chiropractors have studied health and wellness intensively in order to work out what makes you tick and what you can do to drastically improve your health outcomes. Lots of interesting interviews. They also produce other health and wellness podcasts. See them all HERE.
