Sheer Etiquette (Ellie)

CONDITION: Joint Pain
RIDER: Susan Paix's
LOCATION: AUS

In 2011 we started competing at Grand Prix International, unfortunately arthritic changes and stiffness set in for Ellie and we sadly decided to retire. Six months ago I started Ellie on Rose-Hip Vital. The change is unbelievable.

Ellie is better now than when she was competing. Ellie and I are going back into competition at the ripe age of 20. This is so exciting!

Life is too short to be unhealthy. Thank you Rose-Hip Vital!

"After just 3 weeks on RHVE she was as sound as could be!"

My name is Danielle Weymark, I am a grade 2 para dressage rider. I started my 9 year old mare Champagne on Rose-Hip Vital Equine just after she got diagnosed with degenerative joint disease after suddenly pulling up lame at a competition. I've proudly trained Champagne myself and we were preparing for our first ever interstate competition and WEG qualifier. So when I received the bad news that she had to have at least 4 months sitting in the paddock, I was gutted. So at very short notice I borrowed a horse from his generous owner for the event. When I returned Champagne was galloping around her paddock bucking and leaping. After just 3 weeks on RHVE she was as sound as could be! So we decided to get her checked over by our trusted vet and she was given the all clear to be bought back into work over 3 months early! I was over the moon and now we could start preparing for the second WEG qualifier which was again in VIC. Champagne's joint handled her first overnight trip with ease and we went on to win the pleasing result of Grade 2 Champions with qualifying scores! I'm so pleased with the results of Rose-Hip Vital Equine! Now I have my horse back and she's happier and healthier than ever!

We are aiming for a dressage medal at the Police and Emergency Services games in March this year! Fingers crossed.

"Both horses have been more noticeably active"

Banjo (chestnut) and Bobby (grey) are our two older horses that are showing the benefits of Rose-Hip Vital. Both are competed by our young daughter and the improvement in their movement is noticeable. They are not as stiff as they use to be which means that they are working better and enjoying being ridden. The improvement in Banjo who is used for dressage and jumping has been confirmed by the comments on his dressage tests as his movement is now freer. Bobby is used mostly for sporting events and he is responding and turning better that he has for a long time. Both horses have been more noticeably active out in the paddock also. Thanks to Rose-Hip Vital I expect that our daughter will be able to ride both of these horses for longer which is great as they are two old champions that still have a lot to teach her.

"He is a picture of health and loves life"

Rumple (aka APH True Seville) came into my life when I was his travelling groom. At the time he was on the Australian Dressage Squad with Paula Price. Late 2011 I got the opportunity to buy Rumple – at the time he was 18. He is a beautiful horse, not just to look at but also in personality, and very generous. He always gave 110% when we were training and competing. We did our last CDI together when he was 21yrs old. Unfortunately in May 2015 he sustained an injury which has resulted in his retirement. During this past winter he became very stiff in his hindquarters and found it difficult to get moving in the mornings – typical of arthritis which is to be expected in a horse of his age and one that has done as much high performance work as he has. He was prescribed 5mls of bute per day and this did help him, but there was still residual stiffness. So, I decided to try Rose-Hip Vital. We started November 1 with the loading dose. In 3 weeks there was a noticeable difference and after 4 weeks Rumple was moving normally, even in the mornings. He was perhaps a bit too well and started playing in the paddock – we always use to joke that he thinks he’s 4 years old, and he seems to have returned to this mentality. On December 1 I reduced the dose to the maintenance dose of 1 scoop, and it only took a few days to notice some stiffness return, so I spoke with Justin, who advised that we can return the loading dose with no risk. As you can see from this photo, taken just after Rumple’s 23rd birthday in late November, he is a picture of health and loves life, and this is how I intend to keep him for a long time to come. I will keep in touch to let you know how we go with the increase back to the loading dose and our journey to keep Rumple as happy and comfortable as possible. Kind Regards,

Leesa Murray
