Rose-Hip Vital Equine is a delicious, nutrient-rich anti-inflammatory and multivitamin. Being wholly plant-based, it works gently to bolster your horse’s immune response with antioxidants, essential fatty acids and naturally-occurring Vitamin C. A simple daily dose is enough to ensure you have a more mobile, willing and happier horse.
Read on to find out how to get started on our programme with the best results.
Getting started
Incorporating Rose-Hip Vital Equine into your horse’s diet is as simple as adding the recommended daily dose to their current feed. Make sure to add it to cool or room-temperature feed, as hot foods and liquids undermine the potency of the supplement. If you feel it’s necessary, a sprinkling of water can help to bind the powder to dry feed.
Remember to always start your horse on our recommended loading dose. Our loading dose is a kickstart to our programme and ensures you’ll see amazing results much sooner.
Incorporating Rose-Hip Vital Equine alongside existing supplements and medications
We recommend that you continue your horse on their existing supplement or medication while beginning on our loading dose. After your loading dose period ends at four weeks, you may choose to wean them off their other regime.
Most people notice the benefits of Rose-Hip Vital after three weeks, so this is a safe amount of time to carefully track their response.
Your horse will love the taste
Unlike other oral supplements on the market, Rose-Hip Vital Equine is incredibly palatable, making it much easier to mix in with their feed without disrupting their existing routine. At Rose-Hip Vital Head Quarters, we receive regular testimonials from families raving about how delicious their horse finds our supplement, even straight from the tub!
Soothing sensitive stomachs
If your horse suffers from a sensitive stomach, changes to their diet are generally better-tolerated when they’re introduced gradually. We recommend adding just a pinch of Rose-Hip Vital Equine to their feed initially, and then slowly increasing this amount each day. Once your horse is comfortable with the recommended daily loading dose, count this as their start to the programme and continue on this loading dose for 4 weeks.
Working with fussy eaters
If you find you need to build up your horse’s tolerance, the best approach is to start small and build the dose up. As little as a pinch added to feed should slip under the radar of your fussy friend, with the amount incrementally increased over several days until the recommended loading dose is reached. Once you’ve built up to their recommended loading dose, consider this their official start to the programme and continue them on this dose until their loading period ends at 4 weeks.
Can I increase my horses dose form time to time?
Occasionally, you may feel your horse could benefit from a boost to their usual dosage. In this case, we recommend increasing them back up to the recommended loading dose for their weight bracket. You can simply drop them down again when ready.
A few situations where our regular users choose to do this is for horses travelling long distances to and from competitions, for horses with severe or chronic conditions, or for older horses experiencing persistent issues that don’t seem to resolve using traditional therapies.
Remember, Rose-Hip Vital Equine is a completely natural, plant-based supplement, with no known contraindications or side-effects, so you can’t overdose your horse on our powder. If your horse receives too much Rose-Hip Vital Equine in their feed, their body will naturally excrete it in their waste (you’ll notice it by the unusual orange tinge!).
