Despite severe arthritis and ringbone, Emma's Draught horse Bridie is like a youngster again
Written by Emma Post from Tasmania
This is my Draught horse mare Bridie she is rising 16 years old. This lovely girl has been my teacher in everything harness but also my dearest friend, we go around Tasmania doing demonstrations for the public displaying horse drawn agricultural implements as well as competing around the state in carriage or heavy horse harness shows. We also enjoy going out on trail rides through the bush, on the beach or along the roads.
About 8 months ago I noticed some lameness whilst riding and it became intermittent for a very unusually long time, with further investigations by Veterinarians we discovered she has severe arthritis and ringbone in both front feet after x-rays. Being such a heavy horse my main concern was her comfort and if we would still be able to do all these things we love doing.
Since being on Rose-Hip Vital she will now canter up to the gate for her little scoop of chaff containing Rose-Hip Vital Equine (cantering is a big thing for her!). She goes out in the cart or being ridden ears pricked forward with less head shaking and also has stopped scrambling in the horse float! When I'm working with her in any discipline I feel like I have a youngster again, she's happy and more energetic. I have seen the difference in only a short time of using this product and feel so much better knowing that her quality of life has improved so we can keep enjoying what we love most. I highly recommend it for all horse owners! Thank you Rose-Hip Vital!
