Our old boy, 14-year-old Bear, has very bad arthritis. He has been on injections and tablets from the vet for a couple of years now, but I guess they only do so much. All four legs and all joints are bad, he is all crooked, poor old mate. His lack of wanting to walk, run and play was a thing of the past, to the point where he has only found relief by sleeping pretty much all the time, day and night. He needs to be lifted in and out of the car (he is 30kg, so a bit awkward for us but we manage) and has a ramp for the few stairs he needs to get onto the veranda. Because of this, he has very bad muscle wastage and his back legs are very weak. Bear started Rose-Hip powder at the end of 2019. Although he will always be crooked, his wanting to play has started again. And he even ran to greet Dad at the car when he came home from work. He even smiles a bit more these days, Yes!! Dogs do smile. The pain relief he is feeling is amazing. We are still very careful though because he tends to overestimate his ability because the arthritis will always be there, and his joints are all distorted. So, we throw the ball UP instead of making him run for it. But by goodness, we haven't seen him want to play in such a long time, like about 18 months. Our decision to put him on Rose-Hip Vital powder was the best decision we have made. After all the positive reviews of Rose-Hip, we thought we would give it a go and it has paid off. Our Dear old boy is feeling much better. We have just started our 2nd oldest, Kirra (12 years old) on it too as she is just starting to show signs of arthritis in her front right wrist.
