Healthy Happy Horse Riding

roger fitzhardinge horse dressage

Horse riding is a sport like no other, and riders are famous for sparing no expense on their horses yet fixing their own injuries with left over bailing twine and vet wrap. The vet is out every second week but you haven't been to the doctor in over six years sound familiar?

But when you think about it, it's pretty hard for your horse to perform at its best when you're so sore you can't ask for a half-halt without needing to lie down with a cold pack. Stretching and keeping fit are important but so is taking care of your joints. It's easy for people who aren't used to the sport to think that the horse does all the work but good riding is hard!

Talk to anyone in the industry and they'll know, if they haven't experienced it themselves, someone with a creaky hip from an old injury, a back that twinges a bit too much from the time they fell off in the jumping ring, and a shoulder that has never been quite right since it was dislocated all those years ago. Not to mention sore fingers from holding reins all day and broken ankles/feet from where someone trod on you with metal shoes on. You learn to compensate for these injuries over time, change your position slightly, walk just a little more carefully, always wear gloves but its impossible to deny their existence, and regardless of how well you've learned to cope there's they will affect your performance.

To the horse-riding mind the word supplements conjures up images all manner of other powders and pellets to add to your horses feed but what about you? True you're unlikely to be adding them to your bucket for dinner but joint supplements are important for people too.

Rose-Hip Vital is a scientifically and clinically tested plant-based natural anti-inflammatory, powerful antioxidant and natural source of vitamin C helping to relieve joint pain and symptoms associated with mild arthritis. It is one of those little things you can do in your life that will make a huge difference. But don't just take out word for it. Top dressage riders Roger Fitzhardinge and Jodie Newell both take Rose-Hip Vital and believe it has helped them reach their optimum performance in their fields.

Roger says he was initially sceptical about the product but despite my ho hum attitude I have been truly blown away with the result. I cannot tell enough people the difference it has made to my life. I am fitter and healthier and my joint pain is without doubt minimised. I am on no other medication at all and I can absolutely say that Rose Hip Vital has changed my life.

After  dealing with challenging horses as a younger rider, Jodie has had long term back pain issues, however since using Rose-Hip Vital she has noticed a significant improvement I have more energy which is not surprising seeing as I'm no longer in a fog of pain.  I have made plans to go and train in Europe, something that I wasn't confident my back would cope well with before now.  I can safely say that I'm very impressed and I'm relieved to have found something that works for me.

So next time you saddle up, take a while to think about the ways in which you are dealing with old injuries and how this might be impacting your riding. Sometimes it only takes one change to open up a world of possibilities, and you never know until you've tried.
